| Left half of seal has rubber boot inside the pump housing where the boot seals inside the cup of the pump housing. | Right half of the seal has flat surface with oring pressed against the backside of the impellor shaft. Avoid separating this half since reassembly is hard. |

We ship the CC Pump
Kit Partially assembled. Since you need to hold on to the impellor
to tighten against the motor shaft, we ship with the front volute of
the pump unattached. Therefore, to mount pump onto the motor, first, make sure the motor shaft is clean. If a lot of rust is present, it will interfere with the installation of the new pump. Mount the pump housing onto the motor with the 4 long bolts. Tighten to snug only. Slide the impellor onto the shaft and tighten to snug only. Assemble white "eye seal" as it came and then the front "volute" of the pump with 4 bolts. If you over tighten the bolts, the screw will strip. You can replace the screw with a nut and long bolt purchased locally. You must tighten the 4 corners of the volute to make a good, long lasting seal. |
