Filters

Question: Our Answer
Do you have a replacement filter for the above model, or refer me to someone I can order from.
My other questions is, my wife became allergic to the bromide (after 5 years-severe rash necessitating a trip to the emergency room) and we switched to chlorine tablets. Them seem harder to maintain (unlike the swimming pool) Can you recommend any other product?
It's the filter, #5601.

As for keeping the spa cleaned. I would suggest one of two ways. First is using a product like "Frogger" or "Nature2". They use copper or silver to help keep the water clean. You will still have to shock the water weekly but it takes the place of bromine. You can google either and find a place to buy.

Also there is a product called "Baqua". It uses a system totally different that bromine/chlorine. The only thing is you have to buy into the whole thing because if you use the wrong thing you can make the cleaner inert. But once you have it down, it's odorless and works... but a little costly. The Frogger is really forgiving in using the wrong thing.
I received the pressure switch today but cannot locate where on the tub it is located. Our tub is against two walls so I'm guessing it is where I can't see it.  Where is it located from the control panel?
You just probably don't see it.

First, get teflon tape and wrap the threads with tape if there isn't any on it. If there is, you don't have to.

Next, turn power off. Now open the access and you will see the metal control box. On the bottom of the box is a steel tube; that's the heater.

You didn't tell me which model you have so I will presume you have the model with the heater strapped to the outside of the box. This being so, if you look to the left backside of the heater you will see the switch. It has 2 wires coming out of it. Disconnect the 2 wires (order doesn't matter).

Take a open end 1/2" wrench and remove the old switch. If you have water, just move quickly. I do this all the time with water in the spa. Tighten to snug. No direction matters. Plug the 2 wires back in. Viola!
