system. |

ONE MORE THING....
|
WANT TO ADD AN OZONATOR? All of the
above will operate an ozonator automatically. You have to decide 2
things. First, the voltage of the ozonator and second, the type. The
Qzone by Balboa can operate on either. You have to field adjust for the
voltage but it can handle either. Most ozonators will not. The Qzone
uses BULB technology that has been used since the mid-90's.
Your second choice is the more popular
"CD" ozonator. Its the current popular choice and produces a good amount
of ozone gas. You must choose the voltage of the ozonator you are going
to run the unit on. If you haven't decided, either of the above units
will operate a 110-120vac ozonator so chose that model.
One note: the voltage or the #1 pump
must match the ozonator. The ozonator operates on the same circuit as
the #1 pump.

What Will This Retro-Fit Do For Me? |
|
a. State of
the art control systems. |
|
b. Digital Temp Readout on the topside. |
|
c. Automatic filter cycles |
|
d. Freeze Protection. |
|
e. Economy and Sleep Modes for when you are
away. |
|
f. Topside Failure Codes |
|
g. Current and future parts availability. |
|
Why Would I Want to Retro-fit my Electronic Spa? |
|
This
would be simply upfront cost verses long term...
especially if you have lost a pcboard. These
retrofit kits replaces the topside, pcboard,
sensors, heater, |
|
and
pressure switch. Individually on many current
spas the replacement costs for these parts would
total cost to $800. |
|
Also, on some model spas you only have a Dial
|
|
temperature control with no digital temperature
readout. With these units you will have Digital
temperature readouts. |
| How We Will Help |
|
If you can supply us with digital pictures, we
will analyze what you will have to do to |
| your spa to make it ready
to retro-fit. |
| This is where we can help... and
it's free. |
| We can explain what you
need to do and how intensive it will be. |
| You do need a GFCI. GFCI means ground
fault circuit interrupt. It is mandatory for
safety and |
| code reasons. These can
be purchased at hardware stores or installed by
a |
| licensed electrician. |
| On spas with electronic
systems, if properly wired, they already have a
gfci |
| installed. Replacement of
this retro-fit into existing electronic systems
usually does |
| not require much change. |
| Send your photos to
bbouman@clearcreekspas.com so we can help.
We can |
| walk you through what you
need to do... and it's free. |
It you have more questions than answers, let us help.
The easiest way to start is email Bruce at:
bbouman@clearcreekspas.com. If you can send pictures
of your spa that will really speed up the discussion. He
will typically answer in 1-2 business days.
*Caution
must be taken about matching pumps/blower/ozonators/circ
pumps with your existing system. For example, the
VS-510S used for a Z-150 will not work with the existing
#1 pump. You will have to convert the #1 single speed
pump to a 2 speed pump. You will
have to match the
ozonator voltage to equal the #1 pump you use, 220v. Please contact Bruce at
bbouman@clearcreekspas.com to confirm you are
ordering the right system and any cautions you need to
be aware of.
