Gatsby Heaters

Canister The manufacturer of these canister style heaters closed its doors earlier this year. All inventory has dried up.
Clear Creek Spas has compiled a KIT that will allow you to replace this old style canister heater with a current production "low flow" heater. This KIT comes with all major items you will need to replace the canister with new parts.
A great benefit is that all of these parts are currently being used on many spas so once you install the kit your will have current production parts with replacements available for years to come.
Canister heaters came in TWO styles. The most COMMON style is the a "pressure switch" built into the canister heater assembly. To help you identify if you have that style look at the canister heater you have. If you have TWO cords coming out of the heater assembly you have a "pressure switch" style. The heavy cord is your heater cord and the light cord is your pressure switch cord. You will need to order the CC-Kit w/Flow Switch. With this kit you will get everything you need to install your new heater.
Gatsby Flow Switch

The second option is for older models that used a "flow switch" instead of a pressure switch. See picture of a flow switch to the left. If you have this device inline after the canister water heater you can reuse the existing flow switch and purchase CC-Kit w/o Flow Switch.

What Is a "low flow" heater? How is it different that standard heater? "Low flow" heaters use a low watt density element which requires less water flow over the element. Standard heaters use high watt density elements and require around 22gpm pass the element to avoid the element overheating. If you install a high density heater with a low flow circulation pump the heater will overheat and damage the element. Therefore you must make sure any replacement heater is a low density, low flow heating element. This replacement kit is a low density heater.
